Story Protocol Digest #049
Nov 11 - 18, 2025
This week in Story land, the ecosystem basically said “we’re done playing small. Security got a whole docu-series treatment, remix culture went full browser-native, and the Foundation casually extended its buyback program like it’s refilling a coffee. Oh - and the IP flowing in? Let’s just say Bieber to BTS is now a normal sentence we write. Buckle up.

Story Publishes First Entry in New Security Series
Security continues to define Story’s core engineering philosophy, and this week the Foundation released the first instalment of its multi-part deep dive into how those security systems were built. The article walks through the practices implemented ahead of Mainnet and TGE, the secure development strategies now embedded in Story’s workflow, and the multi-step audits that underpin defense-in-depth across the protocol. It also explores how Story structures scalable support for ecosystem partners who depend on its infrastructure. This series serves as the first public look into the principles and decisions that shaped Story’s approach to securing programmable IP. Read the full breakdown here.
RCADE Makes Browser-Based Remixing Possible for All
Remixing just became dramatically more accessible with the launch of RCADE, a new ecosystem project built on top of Story. The platform lets anyone create songs, mashups, and remixes directly from their browser with zero technical or musical background required. Viral fan edits often lose momentum due to copyright takedowns, but RCADE restores that creative energy by registering every remix with metadata, attribution, and automated royalty splits through Story. Tracks remain protected even as they circulate across TikTok, Spotify, and other platforms. Live now with NANA, start exploring at @rcade_co.
K-Builders Meetup Arrives in Seoul
Korea remains one of the strongest crypto adoption markets globally, but the real acceleration is coming from its builders. On November 20, innovators across Seoul will gather for the K-Builders Meetup, co-hosted by @worldcoin, @dsrvlabs, and @0xShardLab at World Flagship Space Seoul. The event brings together founders, developers, investors, and researchers, with demos and presentations from projects shaping the local ecosystem, including Verse Eight and DSrv Labs. RSVP here.
Delphi Digital Releases Independent Report on Story
A new independent analysis from @Delphi_Digital outlines why intellectual property is poised to become crypto’s next major asset class and why Story is structurally positioned to scale it. The report highlights Story’s role as “a crucial bridge that implements real-world legal standards into crypto-native infrastructure,” enabling creators and IP owners to transition seamlessly into blockchain environments. It also emphasizes how AI is overwhelming traditional IP systems, creating a need for transparent attribution and automated compensation at machine speed. Story’s infrastructure directly targets that challenge, positioning programmable IP as a foundation for the AI-native economy. Read the full report here.
Story Foundation Expands $IP Buyback Program
The Story Foundation has now completed more than 60% of its previously announced $IP purchases. In response to ecosystem momentum and sustained demand, the Foundation is extending the program from $82M to $100M and moving the purchasing window to February 1, 2026. By that date, the Foundation intends to deploy the full $100M toward open-market purchases of $IP, reinforcing long-term alignment between the protocol and community.
Community Energy in Seoul Ahead of $ARIAIP Launch
Aria celebrated a strong showing in Seoul ahead of the $ARIAIP launch, with a packed gathering that brought together the Aria community, Story’s $IP holders, and partners including @StoryProtocol, @b__harvest, @Buidlpad, and @DCENTWALLETS. The event highlighted growing enthusiasm around onchain IP RWA and the collaborative energy driving the ecosystem forward. Aria described the atmosphere simply: “This is Aria.”
A Look at the IP Now Live Across the Ecosystem
IP assets continue to grow across the Story ecosystem, with contributions from top-tier creators and platforms: Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa, Madonna, Sabrina Carpenter, BTS, and others via Aria Protocol. Introducing IP Challenges: A New Path to Recognition
Story is expanding how community members can be recognized, beyond executive roles and OG designations. IP Challenges formerly known as creator contests now spotlight those who actively support the ecosystem through original content, commentary, or product usage. Each challenge focuses on a different part of the ecosystem, whether celebrating major moments or encouraging hands-on participation. Winners will earn the new IP Challenger role based on quality, effort, and completeness.
The first challenge centers on the launch of RCADE and Aria’s Global Remix Contest featuring NANA. Participants must create a remix on RCADE and submit it through Aria to join the challenge. More challenges will appear on Discord as the program evolves.
